Curriculum Overview
There is so much fantastic material for children’s ministry lessons on the internet, but most of it is knowledge based, and not really presence based. Most of them teach a lesson from the Bible, have a few games, a prayer and a craft. I struggled to find something that continually reminded the children that God was with them, and that encouraged them to have a relationship with Him. That is why I decided to write my own curriculum. That, and the several prophetic words that I had received over the years about writing.
Here's how it all works! This is a two-year curriculum designed for three age groups; Preschool, Grade 1-4 and Grade 5-7. Each year of the curriculum explores four themes. These themes are consistent across all age groups, but different lessons are created to resonate with each age group uniquely.
The first year that an age group explores a theme, they will complete one set of lessons. The second year they explore that same theme, they will complete a new set of lessons. For example, when the Pre-Schooler’s explore the theme ‘Father God loves us’, the first set of lessons is entitled ‘Thank you God’, and the second is ‘Who’s in the Zoo?’ Have a look below for the full overview.
